GolfATAXIA Scramble

Published on 8/16/2023

My name is Todd Arnott, and I am the Superintendent of Beacon Hill and Brentwood golf clubs. On September 15, 2023, Beacon Hill will host our first annual GolfATAXIA golf scramble in honor of Lilah and Scarlett Lempicki of Lake Orion, MI. This event is especially important to me because Lilah and Scarlett are my cousin’s twin daughters. And both live with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA) – a rare and progressive neuromuscular disease. Since Lilah and Scarlett were diagnosed at the age of 7, they have gradually been losing abilities including their fine motor skills and ability to walk.

As a family, we are on a mission to help them with this disease by raising awareness and funds. Proceeds from the GolfATAXIA outing will support the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to find treatments and cures for FA.

I am seeking support for this event, both from golfers to participate in the outing and from those willing to donate golf passes or merchandise for our auction. To get involved, kindly reach out to me at 586-337-4810.

Your support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by FA. And we genuinely appreciate any contribution you can make.

Sincerely,
Todd Arnott
