Assistant Match Play Championship

Welcome to the inaugural Assistant Match Play Championship a season long event made up of two person teams. Registration for this 16 person (8 teams) limited space event is open to all Assistant Superintendents who are current members of the MiGCSA. The matches are handicapped best ball. You will need to be logged in to your member account to register, if your membership is expired you will not be able to register. Please make sure you are able to log in and are current on your dues before the registration opens, if you need assistance logging in please reply to this email. You can register other current members at the same time as long as they are active. 

You must have an active GHIN handicap to register in 2023. Registration is not available without a verified GHIN number. You can select Michigan Golf Course Superintendents as your home facility at registration if you wish.

All 2023 match scores must be submitted to your GHIN handicap as a tournament score within 24 hours of completing all 18 holes. Failure to submit your score as a tournament score will disqualify you from the next match and/or future events.

Any and all disputes will be decided by the Handicap & Rules Committee & if needed the MiGCSA Board of Directors. All decisions are final. 

This year there will be no cash prizes to help maintain the spirit of the event which is to meet new members at a neutral site on your own pace while having friendly competition and comradery. 

The $20 fee this year will go toward trophies for each member of the winning team along with MiGCSA Champion belts from Next Belt. All final four teams will get a custom bag tag as will the winners of the consolation bracket. Any additional funds will be donated to the Wee One Foundation.
