Hello Michiana GCSA Members,
I hope everyone is hanging in there as we enter the home stretch of our golf season. Remember, it never rains on a golf course ……. LITERALLY!
When we met this past March at our spring educational seminar, we talked about everyone being more involved and more engaged with our chapter of the GCSAA. This season it was great to see the participation we had with our first ever 2-person scramble & Happy Hour in May and the great hospitality shown by Doug Weiss and his staff at Lakes of the Four Seasons. We also were treated to a fantastic and fun day at South Bend Country Club by Nick Nate and his staff. What a beautiful day on the course it was. I want to congratulate Scott Curtis and his team for winning the inaugural Crew Championship at South Bend Country Club and we are all looking forward to you unveiling the “Crew Championship” Trophy at our spring educational seminar. I cannot thank Nick and Doug enough for volunteering & hosting an event at their courses. Without people stepping up like them, there is no Michiana.
I am now calling on everyone to please support our Michiana Fundraiser Outing on October 16th. This year’s event will be held at the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame, with our host superintendent Matt Yops. Please join us for a great day of golf on a spectacular course that hosted the 40th U.S. Senior Open. Please sign up, and invite co- workers, employees, members, and friends to join us for a great day on the links while we raise funds to support our members and organizations like MRTF and the WEE-One.
