We are looking for volunteers to help with three upcoming First Green field trips:
Jason Overmyer, founder/director of the Welcome Home Organization, a GCSAA member, Melrose Leadership Academy Award winner, and member of the GCSAA Workforce Development Task Force, has partnered with fellow GCSAA members Clayton Simmons of Calderone Farms Golf Club and Chris Cummings of Arbor Hills Golf Club to host three First Green field trips.
Tuesday, October 6, 50 youth from Western Career Prep High School will visit Arbor Hills Golf Club, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
On Wednesday and Thursday, October 7 and 8, 50 youth each day will visit Calderone Farms Golf Club, arriving at approximately 9:30 a.m. each day. Following the activities, students will enjoy a sack lunch on the patio.
We are looking for volunteers and vendors to participate on all three days by helping with hands-on activities, demonstrations, educational stations, and other aspects of the events. This is a great opportunity to connect with students, showcase the golf industry, and introduce them to the many career opportunities available in golf.
