Andy is a retired Coast Guard Chief originally from Traverse City, Michigan and now living in Grand Rapids. With a passion for golf, he has been involved in the industry in various capacities since 1983 most recently at Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada. Andy brings a wealth of experience and leadership to every endeavor, combining discipline from years of service with a lifelong love for the game.

Ladd’s was founded by Bob Ladd in 1963. Golf carts were new to the game and Bob convinced Audubon and Galloway to try 10 cars each. The carts were a huge success, and it took off from there. In 1964, Bob expanded into the turf side of the business by partnering with Jacobsen, one that is still ongoing today. Ladd's continued to expand throughout the 70's and 80's. In 1990, Jim Caldwell and Steve Hatchett approached Mr. Ladd about acquiring the company and he agreed. Mitch Parker would join the leadership team later. With both the golf car and turf business growing, it had outgrown its current location. In December 2004, Ladd’s moved from 764 Scott Street to 6881 Appling Farms Parkway.
The turf territory continued to grow and now covers across 7 states. The golf car business also expanded to add locations in Knoxville, TN and Canton, MS. Our commitment to service and customer satisfaction has been key to our success through the years. Our goal is that customers should want to do business with us. We want you to “Up Your Life" with Ladd's. We have a large array of customers that include individuals, municipalities, sports facilities, zoos, universities, golf courses and more! There have been many great partners in business and our products are visible in a variety of settings.
We have been fortunate to win Dealer of the year from multiple vendors, multiple times. We appreciate the recognition for a good year. However, more important to us is the fact that we have had 60+ good years in a row. Our team is committed to serving our customers.
Internally, Ladd's strives to create an environment that employees enjoy their daily work life which will help with interactions with our customers. This has also been key to employee retention. More than half of our employees have over 5 years tenure and many of those over 10 years.
