Published on 2/20/2025

Congratulations to the 2025 Heritage Scholarship winners!

Funding for these scholarships is provided by the proceeds from the 2024 Fundraisers at Arcadia Bluffs, Gull Lake Country Club and Edgewood Country Club.

Thank you to the MiGCSA members the staff and club members at these host facilities and our generous Industry Partners & Sponsors for making these awards possible.

Elliott Hammon, Son of Steve & Sue Hammon, Traverse City C.C.

I would first like to thank the scholarship committee for their time reading and watching the applications. Also, I want to thank the entire MiGCSA membership for their role playing in the scholarship fundraisers throughout the state! Thank you! The scholarship will help alleviate the financial burden of tuition and academic fees, allowing me to focus more on my studies in the communications field. This would enable me to take full advantage of the high-quality courses offered at Michigan State University and pursue a deep understanding of both the technical and creative aspects of sports media and communications

I am sincerely honored to have been selected as the recipient for the MiGCSA Heritage Scholarship. I recently graduated in Fall of 2024 at Aquinas College with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science. Currently, I am in the process of continuing my journey to becoming a PA. I deeply appreciate your support and generosity to make my dreams a reality!

I am immensely grateful and honored to have been selected as a recipient of the MiGCSA Heritage Scholarship. This incredible opportunity will support me in my pursuit of a degree in Computer Science at Michigan State University. I plan to specialize and work in the field of data science, and I am grateful for the impact this scholarship will have on my academic and professional journey. Having the recognition and support of an organization with such personal ties means a tremendous amount to me, and I would like to express my utmost appreciation to MiGCSA and the Scholarship Committee. I would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the members and sponsors who have made this scholarship possible.

I am writing to express my sincerest gratitude for being selected as a recipient of the 2025 Heritage Scholarship. I was thrilled and deeply honored to learn about this award, and I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation for your generous support. Receiving this scholarship will not only help with the financial burden of pursuing my education but has also motivated me to work harder and strive for excellence in my academic endeavors. Brogan Danbrook, Son of Chris & Cortney Danbrook, High Pointe G.C.

First and foremost, I would like to thank MIGCSA for this scholarship. It is truly an honor to be selected. This scholarship will not only help offset tuition expenses as I pursue my undergraduate degree in turf management, it is yet another reminder of how supportive this industry is of its members. I plan to take advantage of every opportunity that comes before me to reach my goal of becoming an expert in my field, and hopefully a Superintendent like my dad!
