2024 was an exceptional year for Michigan golf, and I’m thrilled to share our
GAM Annual Report with you. This is more than a recap—it’s a reflection of what GAM represents, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the path ahead. It highlights the impact of our programs, celebrates member achievements, and underscores our commitment to growing and enjoying the game of golf across Michigan.
Key Highlights from 2024:
- Record Membership Growth: GAM membership reached an all-time high of 98,000, with significant increases in participation among women and juniors—marking overall growth of 60% since 2020!
- Leading the Nation in Public Golf Access: Michigan boasts 859 public golf courses, and the game creates a $6 billion impact on the state economy.
- Youth on Course Achievements: The GAM Foundation has fundraised to provide over $1 million in green fee subsidies, making golf more accessible for more than 50,000 junior golfers over the past eight years.
- Outstanding Championships: Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, GAM successfully hosted 14 USGA qualifiers and 30 championships, welcoming golfers of all ages and abilities.
