Events - Event View

Welcome to year seven of this annual season long event made up of two person teams. Registration for this limited space event will open at 12:00 pm on Tuesday March 12th on a first come first serve basis. You can register in any region but you are committing to playing your matches in that area unless mutually agreed upon by the other team.

 

The matches are handicapped best ball & is open to current Members only. You will need to be logged in to your member account to register, if your membership is expired you will not be able to register. Please make sure you are able to log in and are current on your dues before the registration opens, if you need assistance logging in please reply to this email. You can register other current members at the same time as long as they are active and you have their GHIN number. 

You must have an active GHIN handicap to register. Registration is not available without a verified GHIN number.You can select Michigan Golf Course Superintendents as your home facility at registration if you wish.

All match scores must be submitted to your GHIN handicap as a tournament score within 24 hours of completing all 18 holes. Failure to submit your score as a tournament score will disqualify you from the next match and/or future events. All teams who make it to the final four will be subject to a handicap adjustment for the following year on this scale: 0-9 = 1 stroke, 10-20 = 2 strokes, More than 20 = 3 strokes. The winners of the Championship will be subject to an additional stroke adjustment on the same scale. 

Any and all disputes will be decided by the Handicap & Rules Committee & if needed the MiGCSA Board of Directors. All decisions are final. 

The spirit of this event is to meet new members at a neutral site on your own pace while having friendly competition and comradery. 

The winning team members will each receive an engraved crystal bowl trophy along with MiGCSA Champion belts from Next Belt. All final four teams will get a custom bag tag as will the winners of the consolation bracket.
